On an outing from Mar Vista to Pasadena during my quest to play tennis on every public court in Los Angeles, I counted:
* 7 people walking 10 dogs;
* 11 people who looked like they were experiencing homelessness;
* 43 tents on sidewalks; and
* 1 person helping someone pile their stuff into a shopping cart after it had spilled all over the bike lane.
I want to be like that person.
Helping.
I’m sure you want to help, too. That’s why I have started a fundraiser for Project Ropa, a non-profit providing clean clothes and hygiene kits to people experiencing homelessness in LA. It’s like a walk-a-thon but rather a court-a-thon in honor of my reaching the halfway point of my quest. Please consider making your own contribution and sharing this post with your network. Thanks!
There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done.
